	Information obtained when you and other users (“you” or “Users”) visit the www.pixelink.com web site (the “Site”).
	Information obtained through e-mail and phone communications with you related to PixeLINK products or services.

We may change the terms of this Privacy Policy, so Users are encouraged to review this page from time to time. Your continued use of this Site following the posting of changes to the Privacy Policy means that you accept the changes.

If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, as modified from time to time, please do not visit this Site.

Information We Collect

The information we collect may include information from which you may be personally identified (“Personally Identifiable Information”), such as name, postal address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, and also may include certain business information, such as employer name, occupation, job function, job title and buying information (e.g., preferences or history). We also will collect credit card and related information when you order a product or service for which there is a charge.

This Site only collects Personally Identifiable Information with your knowledge through the use of forms which you must fill out and submit electronically.

Newsletters and Offers

We may use the information you provide us to send you e-mail, fax and other communications on behalf of PixeLINK or other Vitana divisions. These communications may include e-mail newsletters that are relevant to this Site, as well as offers for other PixeLINK or Vitana services. Our Disclosure of Your Information

We will not disclose your information to anyone outside of PixeLINK, except as described in this section.

We may disclose aggregated anonymous statistics about many Users to content and service providers and other affiliated and unaffiliated companies.

The only other times we may disclose your Personally Identifiable Information collected on this Site are as follows:

	In the event of an asset sale, merger, consolidation, restructuring, reorganization, liquidation or other similar transaction involving PixeLINK or this Site, we may transfer some or all User information, including Personally Identifiable Information, to the successor company.
	We will disclose your Personally Identifiable Information when we believe such disclosure is required by law or for the protection of persons or property.
	We may disclose your Personally Identifiable Information with your consent, as well as when disclosure is necessary to accomplish the purpose for which you provide it. For example, when you inquire about a product, we may forward your Personally Identifiable Information to a reseller or distributor who may contact you regarding your request.

How We Collect Information

Automatic Data Collection

When you visit this Site, we may collect the IP address of your computer.

We also automatically record other information that identifies your computer to this Site and tracks your behavior on the Site. For example, we may record how many times you visit this Site and your navigation within the Site. We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information in this manner; however, if you provide us with Personally Identifiable Information, we may associate that information with the information that is collected automatically.

We do not use “cookies” and “transparent GIFs” (also known as “pixel tags” or “beacons”). A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A clear GIF is a small graphic image, typically used in connection with cookies, that is placed on a web site or in an email message. Manual Data Collection

PixeLINK staff will also record Personally Identifiable Information when you contact use via e-mail, telephone or facsimile. This information will include any and all contact information freely provided in the communication. PixeLINK staff may request specific Personally Identifiable Information is it is required to fulfill your requests.

How We Dispose of Information

PixeLINK retains Personally Identifiable Information for a period of five years following your last communication with us.

If you purchase a product, the product registration information, including your Personally Identifiable Information will be retained indefinitely.

Credit Card information is deleted immediately after the transaction is complete and is not retained in our records.

Security

We use reasonable security safeguards to protect Personally Identifiable Information we collect on this Site from unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure. However, due to the design of the Internet and other factors outside of our control, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and our servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties.

When we pass your Personally Identifiable Information to a reseller or distributor, we endeavor to ensure that the information will not be abused by encouraging each reseller and distributor to adopt a Privacy Policy similar to this one. However, this policy does not apply to our resellers or distributors and we cannot guarantee the security of the information once it has been forwarded to a third party.

Right to Access and Change Information

You may view and update information that you previously submitted to this Site by sending an e-mail to privacymanager@pixelink.com. However, a request to change information may not be accommodated if the request would conflict with legal requirements or result in incorrect information. Requests to view or change personal information may take a few days to process.

Opt In

This Privacy Policy describes certain opportunities you will have to opt in to our using your Personally Identifiable Information.

When you enter our monthly-draw contest or specifically request information through the information request form on this web site, we consider the submission of the form and the provision of your Personally Identifiable Information to indicate your choice to opt-in to receive information and announcements from PixeLINK and Vitana via e-mail, phone or facsimile.

When you register a product purchase or register for technical support, there is an entry on the form where we ask your permission to send you notices of new product releases and upgrades that may be of interest to you. If you select yes, then you opt-in to receive these notices.

If you call us and request product or company information, we may ask for your Personally Identifiable Information. At that time we may ask you if you would like to opt-in to receive notices from us concerning this Site, new products or upgrades. If, from time to time, we fail to ask for whatever reason, we may assume that you agree to opt-in, knowing that you have the ability to opt-out at any time.

Opt Out

This Privacy Policy describes certain opportunities you will have to opt out of our using your Personally Identifiable Information.

An opt-out request will be specific to the receipt of e-mail or fax notices of new products and software upgrades that we will issue from time to time. Each notice that we send will include information and instructions concerning how you can opt-out of receiving further notices.

Any opt out request will only be effective after a reasonable period of time for processing.
