PixeLINK is a leader in the design, manufacture and support of digital cameras for industrial, microscopy, medical and scientific applications. We are looking for a dynamic Software Developer to join our R&D team.

The Software Developer will be responsible for the development, enhancement, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer vision software applications. You will plan, design and develop feature functionality for new software applications to control cameras and other vision system peripherals. You will maintain and improve existing applications including our main camera control application.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive development of new computer vision software applications
  • Provide technical leadership in key architectural discussions/decisions
  • Identify, troubleshoot and debug defects in existing C#/.NET applications
  • Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback
  • Innovative technical design and thorough, demonstrable unit testing
  • Provide technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively
  • Work with all team members to develop, test and release new products to the market

Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 4+ years software development experience
  • Proven ability in .NET Framework and C#/.NET development (WinForms and WPF)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
  • Experience in front-end development
  • Experience in unit testing
  • Proficiency in C, C++
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and follow through on a project plan
  • Adaptable to changing business environment

Desired

  • Understanding of capturing functional requirements through use cases
  • Experience with test-driven development and test-driven design
  • Understanding of relational databases and TSQL
  • N-tier architecture experience
  • Experience in Web Services development
  • Image processing knowledge
  • Familiarity with the inner workings of USB 3.0
